France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.09%

Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the gained 0.55% to hit a new all time high, while the index declined 0.21%.

The best performers of the session on the were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:), which rose 2.58% or 1.82 points to trade at 72.38 at the close. Meanwhile, L’Oreal SA (EPA:) added 2.35% or 9.85 points to end at 428.65 and AXA SA (EPA:) was up 2.13% or 0.64 points to 30.63 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:), which fell 1.79% or 0.79 points to trade at 43.16 at the close. Alstom SA (EPA:) declined 1.41% or 0.17 points to end at 11.54 and Capgemini SE (EPA:) was down 0.86% or 1.80 points to 208.20.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Voltalia SA (EPA:) which rose 6.17% to 8.26, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was up 4.32% to settle at 23.65 and Valneva (EPA:) which gained 4.10% to close at 3.81.

The worst performers were Clariane SE (EPA:) which was down 9.76% to 1.85 in late trade, Ipsen SA (EPA:) which lost 4.55% to settle at 102.90 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was down 4.10% to 2.34 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 303 to 214 and 102 ended unchanged.

Shares in Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.58% or 1.82 to 72.38. Shares in Clariane SE (EPA:) fell to all time lows; falling 9.76% or 0.20 to 1.85.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.43% or 8.75 to $2,029.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $76.75 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.35 to trade at $81.84 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 103.98.
