Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:), which rose 1.37% or 1.40 points to trade at 103.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:) added 0.65% or 0.02 points to end at 3.57 and Unilever PLC (AS:) was up 0.15% or 0.08 points to 54.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegon Ltd (AS:), which fell 2.61% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.97 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) declined 2.53% or 2.80 points to end at 107.75 and NN Group NV (AS:) was down 2.20% or 1.01 points to 44.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 76 to 28 and 8 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.20% or 0.14 to $69.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.25% or 0.18 to hit $73.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 17.20 to trade at $2,631.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 106.15.
