Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:), which rose 2.80% or 46.00 points to trade at 1,689.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Hapoalim (TASE:) added 2.13% or 88.00 points to end at 4,210.00 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:) was up 1.79% or 42.00 points to 2,394.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:), which fell 2.78% or 72.00 points to trade at 2,520.00 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.71% or 14.50 points to end at 520.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) was down 2.23% or 106.00 points to 4,654.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 240 to 213 and 85 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:) rose to all time highs; rising 1.79% or 42.00 to 2,394.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.82% or 1.25 to $70.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.73% or 1.26 to hit $74.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 18.25 to trade at $2,669.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.71, while EUR/ILS fell 0.73% to 3.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 106.68.
