Spain stocks lower at close of trade; IBEX 35 down 0.81% By Investing.com


Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Madrid, the declined 0.81%.

The best performers of the session on the were Merlin Properties SA (BME:), which rose 2.66% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:) added 1.75% or 0.55 points to end at 32.01 and Telefonica (BME:) was up 1.07% or 0.05 points to 4.33 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:), which fell 7.58% or 0.75 points to trade at 9.15 at the close. Caixabank SA (BME:) declined 5.27% or 0.30 points to end at 5.39 and Grifols SA (BME:) was down 5.09% or 0.56 points to 10.34.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 141 to 51 and 24 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.68% or 17.70 to $2,632.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $69.03 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.18 to trade at $73.12 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 106.14.
