ONErpm’s ONE Publishing strikes partnership with YouTube for multiple countries in Latin America and the US

Nashville-headquartered music company ONErpm’s publishing admin service ONE Publishing has signed a new partnership with YouTube.

Starting from April 1, 2024, ONErpm says that ONE Publishing will directly collect mechanical royalties from YouTube in Brazil, the United States, and the “vast majority of Latin American countries”.

ONErpm claims that the deal makes ONE Publishing “the first and only” YouTube partner with a direct collection agreement for multiple countries in Latin America and the USA (excluding Mexico and Argentina).

Nashville-headquartered ONErpm, best known for its distribution and services offering for indie artists and labels, launched its music publishing administration service in 2022.

At the time, ONErpm said that its publishing admin service will “allow songwriters and publishers (copyright owners) to administer catalogs and collect publishing royalties from around the world in an easy and transparent way”.

ONE Publishing was made available to both ONErpm’s premium distributed artists and labels, plus DIY-distribution accounts that meet certain criteria.

At launch (in 2022), ONErpm said that in the prior three years, it had developed the necessary technology to register, identify, and manage compositions in compliance with international standards.

“ONE Publishing is becoming an interesting business, and I think it makes ONErpm a more complete ensemble,” said ONErpm CEO Emmanuel Zunz, commenting on the latest news about ONE Publishing’s partnership with YouTube.

Monday’s (April 29) news arrives four months after Nashville-headquartered ONErpm expanded its offerings for independent artists and labels with the launch of a software-as-a-service (SAAS) platform and a DIY artist distribution service called OFFstep.com.

Elsewhere, in September, ONErpm opened six new offices in Asia, boosting the number of its offices globally to 43, with a team exceeding 600 staff.

The company reports that it experienced 45% growth in plays and royalties for its artists globally last year.

“This milestone will be a great advantage for our clients, as it will allow ONE Publishing to collect royalties from its clients more efficiently and effectively.”
